PAF s' Multimedia paffalcons.com Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani visited Barrikot, Swat, today to inaugurate Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Bridge. The bridge which connects 15 towns and 45 villages, was completely washed away during floods of 2010. The bridge is one of the projects undertaken by FWO in collaboration with United Arab Emirates in KPK. UAE is providing considerable assistance for infrastructure development in areas affected by War against Terror. Economic activities generated by such projects will bring immediate relief to the people of the area and also, in longer run, combat militancy by providing the youth with viable employment opportunities. The ambassador of UAE to Pakistan, His Excellency Essa Abdulla Al Basha Al Noaimi, as well as dignitaries from UAE Embassy and UAE Pakistan Assistance Programme (UPAP) and notables from the area were also present on the occasion. San Diego rock group Angels & Airwaves have released their much anticipated music video for "Surrender," the lead single off their latest album Love Part Two. The idea that young people are speaking their minds...and that young people across the Globe will still find a way to celebrate even when they're living their worst day." The band enlisted director William Eubank to create the video. Eubank is previously known for teaming up with the band to create their critically acclaimed, independent feature film Love that was released in conjunction with the Angels & Airwaves double album Love Part One and Two. 05.28.12 (LAS CRUCES) -- A group of educators are capturing old memories of a historic building, while finding the true character of the neighborhood it sits on. "I love cositas, I love artifacts," said Irene Oliver-Lewis who is on a mission to collect items she says tell the story of her community. "Artifacts, they say something of us as a culture and say something of us as a people," she said. Oliver-Lewis is the artistic producer and founder of Court Youth Center and Alama D'Arte. She is keeping memories alive with the 402 West Court Living History Project. "The coach that brought us this said you know I've kept this forever, the kids made this for us because we were a winning season," she said. The project aims at documenting the 129 year old property from when it was an actual court house to a junior high and to what it is today.
