MSM: USA Today Smear Campaign Blackout

Think about how much air time the GSA scandal has received, that involves a little more than 800 thousand dollars, versus something like, members of Congress thinking that the main supplier of food to the troops in Afghanistan may have overbilled the military by more than 750 million dollars. Alyona will tell you about a smear campaign launched against two journalists at USA Today. It's a perfect example of the toxic environment that real journalists work in these days, where insulting or exposing government favored industries for their corruption often brings retaliation. It's an attack on the freedom of the press, the freedom of speech and it's a scandal! Twitter: twitter.com Facebook: www.facebook.com
Panel discusses Obama's 'unconscionable', win or lose timetable for US troops in Afghanistan
Tags: Afghanistan Afghan Taliban timetable troops unconscionable conscionable Barack Obama President
New York Times Washington correspondent, David Sanger, author of a soon-to-be-released book on the Afghan war, notes that when President Obama ordered a troop surge in Afghanistan in 2009, with a firm timetable for withdrawal, he did so with the stated intention, that win or lose, the troops would be withdrawn by the set deadline. This unfortunate fact prompted a panel discussion as to whether the President's decision was "conscionable" or not. Of course, the word "conscionable", does not exist when it comes to the President's political aspirations, but that's besides the point. The panel also discussed some other significant points.
Gen. John Allen vs. the White House: Is 'Afghan Good Enough', good enough?
Tags: Afghanistan Taliban war troops withdrawal timetable Barack Obama President General John Allen Afghan good enough
The New York Times reported last week that the White House has lowered the bar on how success is defined in the Afghan war. The Times reported that the phrase "Afghan Good Enough" has been making the rounds at the White House and State Department. "Gone is the much greater expectation that NATO will leave behind a cohesive central government with real influence beyond Kabul and a handful of other population centers," the Times reported. "Gone is the assumption that Helmand Province, Kandahar and the rest of the heavily contested south — where the bulk of the 2010 influx of troops was sent — will remain entirely in the control of the central government once that area is transferred to Afghanistan's fledgling national security forces." New York Times Washington correspondent, David Sanger, author of a soon-to-be-released book on the Obama administration's handling of the Afghan War, noted in a recent interview that one of the President's goals in Afghanistan was to keep the city...

Tags: Drug Cartel Leader El Loco Gets Arrested After 49 Beheaded Bodies Found On Highway!
"Authorities have arrested an alleged Zetas drug cartel leader nicknamed "El Loco," AKA the Fool or the Crazy One, on charges that he dumped 49 headless bodies on a highway outside Monterrey, Mexico. When the Mexican Army came to arrest Daniel Elizondo Jesus Ramirez, say authorities, Ramirez attempted to elude capture by shooting at troops and throwing a fragmentation grenade. Zetas commanders nicknamed The Shrimp and The Speaker have also been linked to the body dump, but officials have not yet apprehended them. The mutilated bodies of 43 men and six women were found near Cadereyta, Mexico on May 13. Though the condition of the bodies made it difficult to identify any of them, some physical features and tattoos indicated that they may have been migrants from southern Mexico and Central America. A graphic seven-minute video posted on the web last week allegedly showed gunmen dumping the bodies, and then flourishing a "narcobanner" "signed" by El Loco and two other alleged Zetas...

Anthem of the Pan-Asian Empire in the Mirror Universe The Pan-Asian Empire is a Constitutional Socialist Monarchy spanning much of Asia. The Empire includes China (minus Manchuria, Korea, Indochina (Vietnam, Laos, & Cambodia), Burma, Thailand, East India, Nepal, Bhutan, Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Spratly Islands (disputed). The primary ally of the Pan-Asian Empire is the Soviet Union. Their main rivals are the North American and Roman Empires. After the fall of the Empire of Japan at the end of the Second World War, the Chinese Empire and various rebel groups that fought against the Japanese had seized control of many territories that were occupied by the Japanese during the war. By 1960, the Chinese Empire, the new Korean Empire, and their allies control much of East and Southeast Asia. At that time, the Asian countries united into the new Pan-Asian Empire. The only territory in South-East Asia refusing to join was South Vietnam which had aligned itself with the Roman...

The Roman Empire survived as the Byzantine Empire for nearly 1000 years until the Crusades successfully led to the Restoration of the Roman Empire. While the Roman Empire gained back Italy and much of Northern Africa, several kingdoms such...

Had an amazing time performing on the stage and getting to know the funny foreign troops in Beijing. This being my FIRST open-mic attempt, the crowd was really supportive and, seemingly, entertained. :) Special thanks to Toby Jarman for being so nice to a newbie, Tianjiao for shooting the video, and to my brother for being a great inspiration. Beijing, I'll be back!...

France's new president says nearly all French troops will leave Afghanistan by the end of 2012. Francois Hollande made a surprise visit to Afghanistan this week. US Army bans PMAGS...WTF
www.military.com In a face-palming stupid move, the Army...on Memorial day weekend, has decided, that nothing is two good to be second best for our troops, and has ordered them to stop using the superior PMAG and go back the the junky warn-out USGI mags. Usgi mags are prone to failure, can't be stored loaded, easily crush, the welds come apart, and just generally suck balls...Stoner made them to be disposable, and hence they have often been a major problem for the gun. However PMAGS have proven to be super reliable and cost nearly the same as the PMAGS. Rumor has it that PMAGS might not be holding up at BMR in Fort Benning GA, but that is the only place i have heard of problem,...if so, its most likely a single batch, and this is typical Army over-reaction
