Tribute to my Mother and the wonderful life she has lived. 90 Years and still going strong! Thanks to all the family members in creating this special moment. With over 3 hours of video to edit, where sometimes the sound was inadvertently turned off and if you ask "why wasn't what I said in the final cut?," Perhaps I had bad lighting or you were too long winded and not interesting enough. Just kidding! Really I apologize. And a thank you to cousins Mike Stewart & Terry Thomas for sending additional photos I was able to incorporate in the making of what I hope to be a family classic.

ENCINITAS, Calif., May 29, 2012 -- Every year, Hansen Surfboards gets ready for the onslaught of kids in grades K-12 who regularly come into the store with their parents, showing their report cards and exchanging their good grades for vouchers they can redeem for merchandise. The retailer gave away nearly $94000 in merchandise for good grades last year and is on track to give away even more this year. Since the Goods for Grades program was created in October of 1996 to reward students from elementary through high school for their good grades, the retailer has given away a total of $486937 as of May 22, 2012. The idea for the program was created by employee, Patty Bolton, and the Hansen family immediately loved the idea. "To give an example of how popular this program is, in July of last year alone, we redeemed $25000 worth of merchandise for good grades," said Josh Hansen.
