This is a portion of the closing plenary session of eLearning Africa 2012, held in Cotonou, Benin, May 23-25th. I have been involved in eLearning since its inception in the 1970s. I must say, it is refreshing to see what is being done on the continent of Africa in this exciting field. This is a region that has essentially leaped over large scale agriculture and industrialization, and has gone straight away toward a technology revolution - with many unique issues to address, as compared with what we experienced in the west. This video - entertainment provided during the closing plenary, by local Beninese - underscores how African nations have proudly embraced their heritage, understand the need to expand the technology culturally and organically, and to share this with the attendees. Enjoy!

An apparently "disoriented" passenger had to be calmed down and subdued on an American Airlines jet Friday as it was taxiing after landing in Miami International Airport, an airline spokesman said. The FBI said the man, Ryan Snider, a 24-year-old Canadian, was arrested and faced federal charges of interfering with a flight crew. "There were no injuries or damage to the plane. There appears to be no nexus to terrorism and Snider was not on the 'no fly list,'" said Special Agent Michael Leverock in a statement. Snider rose from his seat and rushed forward shortly after the plane landed and was taxiing down the runway on a flight from Montego Bay, Jamaica, officials said. "We had what appeared to be a 'disoriented' male passenger who stood up at his seat in the Main Cabin after landing in Miami as the flight was taxiing in," American Airlines spokesman Ed Martelle said in an email. "He did not obey crewmember instructions to sit down and then moved toward the front of the aircraft...

Where is the world from what is happening in Syria? What did the children do to deserve to be killed? Where are the international observers? Let Kofi Annan watch the results of his failed ceasefire plan. We demand the world to take an immediate action to protect the unarmed civilians ... and to decide what their position is toward the Syrian regime. ...................................................................................................... translated by the Syrian revolution in the languages of the world team. www.facebook.com

This is an excerpt of JR Daniel Kirk's lecture "Reading Scripture by the Light of New Creation's Dawn" at Christian for Biblical Equality's (CBE International) 2012 conference in Houston, TX. New creation dawns with the resurrection of Jesus. We walk, now, in its coming light. New creation means the redemption of the whole created order: human persons as well as human society; the physical world and the animal life that fills it. God calls us to take hold of the coming future and bring it to bear on the present. This is the framework within which we pursue justice and equality in the world. God's new creation is upon us. And as people of the new creation, we read scripture to have our minds and actions shaped by the future that awaits us. This trajectory toward the fullness of new creation summons us to read scripture as witnesses to the full equality that exists among all people within the new humanity that God is creating in Christ. This is only a small sample of the lecture. To...

To first ReeceJones87 and paradoxman316, and open to anyone to talk about, of course. paradoxman, you recently subscribed to me, and that's affecting me now (someone subscribing to me) differently than before. My thought is toward dialoging. Since you're already watching me anyway, why not talk back with you about what I've been listening to you talk about? So this is my first question: Do you recommend doing daily vlogs? And, for whom? In what way? I'm curious about the concept.

'Wrinkled Face', last song from a fine set of self penned songs, when Jelske Wilmer played support for Jan Akkerman & band (with guest Eric Vloeimans), when she performed at the Gebouw-T venue, in Bergen op Zoom, The Netherlands, on Saturday, May 19th, 2012. A fine performance, though some background noise from audience, due to low volume setting of sound system. From Jelske's website (google translated): Last Saturday, May 19th I was in Bergen op Zoom @ GebouwT the schedule for Jan Akkerman & Eric Vloeimans care. I arrived there around 7pm, and I was immediately surprised by the appearance of the Poppodium. From the outside an old building, and inside, completely renovated in a modern style. Around 9pm, I started playing and was amazed at the large audience that was already present. In addition, they listened attentively to my songs. What more could you want?! After my performance, I enjoyed the great performance by Jan Akkerman & Eric Vloeimans. It was really tight and wonderful...

For the past 39 years plus years, Hip-Hop has played a very important role in the course of american history. This short documentary is a result of and outstanding partnership between Winchester Thurston School and the award-winning arts education program, Hip-Hop On LOCK In the Spring of 2012, an english teacher by the name of Ms. Patrice Alexander (a graduate of the University of Chicago) took a bold step toward making a statement by employing the arts. Please watch in 1080p HD quality. ** Information about the Clubhouse ** Klúbburinn Geysir is a place where people who have had mental illness come to rebuild their lives. The participants are called members, not patients and the focus is on their strengths, not their illness. Work in the clubhouse, whether it is clerical, data input, meal preparation or reaching out to their fellow members, provides the core healing process. Every opportunity provided is the result of the efforts of the members and small staff, who work side by side, in a unique partnership. One of the most important steps members take toward greater independence is transitional employment, where they work in the community at real jobs. Members also receive help in securing housing, advancing their education, obtaining good psychiatric and medical care and maintaining government benefits. Membership is for life so members have all the time they need to secure their new life in the community." More information:...

This video is part of the Infosec Video Collection at SecurityTube.net: www.securitytube.net Blackhat 2012 EUROPE - Breeding Sandworms How To Fuzz Your Way Out of Adobe Reader's Sandbox Adobe's interpretation of sandboxing is called Adobe Reader X Protected Mode. Inspired by Microsoft's Practical Windows Sandboxing techniques, it was introduced in July 2010. So far, it had been doing a good job at limiting the impact of exploitable bugs in Adobe Reader X, as escaping the sandbox after successful exploitation turned to be particularly challenging, and hasn't been witnessed in the wild, yet. This paper exposes how we did just this: By leveraging some broker APIs, a policy flaw, and a little more, we were able to break free from Adobe's sandbox. The particular vulnerability we used was patched by Adobe in September 2011 (CVE-2011-1353), as a result of our responsible disclosure action; yet, this demonstrates that Adobe's sandbox cannot be considered a panacea against security flaws...

Dead Can Dance "The Host of Seraphim" (Remastered) HD 1080p Dead Can Dance (sometimes referred to as DCD) are an Australian/British ethereal neoclassical duo formed in Melbourne, Australia, in August 1981, by Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry. The band relocated to London in May 1982 and disbanded in 1998. Their 1996 album Spiritchaser reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top World Music Albums Chart. Australian music historian Ian McFarlane described Dead Can Dance as having an ambient style of world music that "constructed soundscapes of mesmerising grandeur and solemn beauty; African polyrhythms, Gaelic folk, Gregorian chants, Middle Eastern mantras, and art-rock." Dead Can Dance's albums were not widely available in the United States until the early 1990s, when 4AD made a distribution deal with Warner Bros. Records. 4AD allied itself with the Beggars Banquet Records Group, which included that eponymous label and XL Recordings in the US, but the band's recordings remained distributed...
