Nam June Paik created synchronized video that is played back on 70 CTR monitors. I have added my modern parody that includes gas station symbolism to Nam June Paik's visual montage. This video shows gas prices increasing as the gallons are poured into my truck. The screens I have weaved together incorporate photos of the Nations Capitol with the very powerful icons of fuel, Exxon and Mobil. The ever-increasing gas prices captured in video and stills, show a more than doubling of cost in less then 10 years. The cheapest price, pictured here, for Super is $1.95 per gallon and the most expensive is $4.36 for the ultra unleaded fuel.
