Friday, May 4, 2012 Istituto Italiano di Cultura On exhibit over 80 original drawings of one the most prolific Italian illustrator and graphic novelist, including the celebrated series Interiorae. Gabriella Giandelli was born in Milan in 1963. She published her first comics in 1984 and soon established herself as one of the most important comic authors in Europe. Her graphic novels have apparead in volumes published by Coconinopress (Italy) Seuil and Actes-Sud (France), Fantagraphic Books (USA). She has collaborated with Le Monde (France) and she is currently collaborating weekly with La Repubblica. She has been a regular collaborator for Internazionale for the past 12 years. Her illustrations have appeared in Italy for Il manifesto, Il Sole 24 Ore, Marie Claire, Vanity, Urban, Flair. Her work has appeared as cover art for volumes published by Feltrinelli, Einaudi, Mondadori, Ponte alle Grazie, Minimumfax. She has worked as a designer for Alchimia, Memphis, Alessi, and Swatch.
