Not all of the slapstick works, but there are more hits than misses. Frankly I think the humor and production values are better here than all but the first of "Trinity" western-comedies. The English dubbing is not "awful," as one reviewer stated. It's actually better than in many spaghetti Westerns. I liked the attention to detail in the depiction of even minor characters, like the bank employees & dishonest doctor who encases one brother in a total body cast. While I agree the American distributors were guilty of giving this film an terrible "let's cash on on a better movie" title, I don't think seeing the prelude would have added much.The picture already seems a bit too long, with a throw in the kitchen sink approach to the screen writing ("Then's let's have them try this and fail, an then this..."), when a plot more focused on one or two criminal acts might have been better. I also watched this as part of the Mill Creek 20 pack, mostly to get Monte Hellman's "China 9, Liberty 32"...

ARRI is now offering three ALEXA cameras with a 4:3 Super-35 sensor designed for anamorphic: ALEXA Plus 4:3, ALEXA Studio and ALEXA M. The ALEXA Plus 4:3 offers many of the same features as the ALEXA Studio, including the anamorphic desqueeze license, high-speed license and DNxHD license. However, it still has an electronic viewfinder, as opposed to the spinning mirror optical viewfinder system found in the ALEXA Studio. ARRI also showed off a concept anamorphic lens that was developed with Zeiss, as well as the Network Adapter WNA-1, which is part of ARRI's open camera initiative that allows designers to create apps to access and control the ALEXA cameras. Zeiss today announced their new Compact Zoom, a 70-200 T2.9. The Compact Zoom covers not only Super-35, but in fact the full frame 36mmx24mm format, just like the Compact Primes. Also like the CP.2s, the 70-200 has interchangeable lens mounts, switching between PL, Nikon, Canon Micro 4/3 and Sony E mounts. The Compact Zoom weighs just 6.2 pounds and will be available later this year for less than $20000.
