Buduruwagala is an ancient buddhist temple in Sri Lanka. The complex consists of seven statues and belongs to the Mahayana school of thought. The statues date back to the 10th century. The gigantic Buddha statue still bears traces of its original stuccoed robe and a long streak of orange suggests it was once brightly painted. The central of the three figures to the Buddha's right is thought to be the Buddhist mythological figure-the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. To the left of this white painted figure is a female figure in the thrice-bent posture, which is thought to be his consort-Tara. Name Buduruvagala means "the rock of Buddhist Sculptures". Location Buduruvagala is located about 4 miles (6.4 km) southeast of Wellawaya in Monaragala district, Sri Lanka. Size of the statues The largest of the standing Buddha statues is 51 feet (16 m) from head to toe; is the largest standing Buddha statue of the island.

So I was driving home on 118 tonight, and as I was coming around the bend near the intersection of 118 and Black Rock Road was, I almost hit a man in my Datsun who was standing on the side of the road. As I passed, I could hear the constant blaring of a car horn...but I saw no car. I went up the street a bit to turn around and help, when I parked my car on Black Rock Road, I ran into my friend Megane ironically. We both approached the car which we could now see in the ditch and found a man rummaging through the wrecked Mini Cooper. We asked if he was alright. We got no response. Te man randomly got up and ran off into the woods. Soon after, cops arrived. We all talked about what we witnessed and watched as the tow truck pulled the abandoned Mini from the ditch. All in all, it was a weird night.
