Geeks, rejoice! Even if you don't know the answer to life, the universe, and everything, May 25 is a day you can enjoy. Today has the distinction of not only being the seventh annual Geek Pride Day, but the 10th annual Towel Day, as well. Towel Day is a celebration of author Douglas Adams and his sci-fi masterpiece The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, where the towel was noted to be "the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have." It started in 2001 as a tribute to Adams after his passing and has encouraged his fans to carry around a towel in remembrance. Towelday.org even has a listing of events that are being held worldwide. So geeks, raise your towels, and pants, in a salute to making uncool the new cool.

This Memorial Day, Concerned Veterans for America remembers the men and women in uniform who have sacrificed in service to the United States. In a new web video, we honor those who gave their lives in the line of duty, and salute those who are willing to serve to make the US a stronger and better country.

The LONG awaited posting of combat applications of some of the Kung Fu, Kenpo, Silat and Qin Na techniques. You'll see, out side of a punch, with takedowns, inside of a punch with Kenpo Five swords and takedown, grab defenses, throws, Kenpo triggered salute into some Aiki type throws and a few soft style techniques that basically unbalance and redirect without harming your attacker (much). Since moving to Columbia Missouri, I've gotten the chance to teach a few students here informally, and film some of the results. Enjoy, I hope to be posting quite a few new videos.

For those we've lost. And the heroes still with us. Please share this and support our troops. This weekend, we here in the USA celebrate the Memorial Day holiday. Its a time when we look back and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our Country so that the rest of us could continue to live free and peaceful lives. As you enjoy relaxing in front of the TV, going to picnics and cookouts, and spending time with family and friends this weekend, take a minute or two to remember what the holiday is all about. We can't thank those we've lost in person, but, if you know a military Veteran (currently serving, or who has given of him/herself in the past) tell them thank you. From all of us. For those watching from outside the USA, remember your country's veterans too. Nel luglio del 2009, Enrico Pitzianti, riceve una telefonata da parte della presidentessa dell'Associazione Asarp (Associazione Sarda per la Riforma Psichiatrica), Gisella Trincas, che dal 1995 gestisce Casamatta, una struttura, ubicata in via Is Arenas n. 92 a Quartu SE (CA), che ospita otto persone in cura presso i Centri di Salute Mentale della ASL n° 8 di Cagliari. Queste persone sono quotidianamente spronate a condurre una vita ordinaria ea favorire la parte "sana" di loro stessi, senza una somministrazione a oltranza di psico-farmaci. Purtroppo, dopo quindici anni di attività, devono chiudere perché il padrone di casa non vuole rinnovare loro il contratto di affitto. Pitzianti, che già precedentemente aveva esposto alla donna un progetto cinematografico inerente al suo operato, capisce che se non gira ora un documentario non lo farà mai più. Il tempo che stringe e la ricerca di una nuova casa dove trasferirsi diventano la spinta necessaria perché si inizi a testimoniare...
