En route to the Winthrop Balloon Roundup, the Roswell Flight Test Crew made an early morning stop at the "Maryhill Stonehenge," a full-sized, astronomically aligned replica of the original. Constructed over more than a decade (1918-1929), it was the first memorial in the United States to honor those killed in World War I. The interior time lapse was captured with a Samsung Q10, and the exterior time lapse was recorded using a GoPro Hero2. The aerial video was captured by RQCX-3 "Raven" flying FPV with two GoPro Heroes attached -- one facing forward, the other facing straight down.

The Roswell Flight Test Crew captured the "night glow" at the 2012 Winthrop Balloon Roundup by mounting a Sony NEX-5N with a SEL16F28 16mm f/2.8 Wide-Angle Lens on RQCX-3 "Raven," in place the GoPro Hero that she regularly carries aloft. The same camera/lens combination was used to record the real-time footage on the ground. The time lapse was recorded using a pair of Samsung HMX Q10 camcorders capturing images at half-second intervals.

In this new "Rough Cut" video, the Roswell Flight Test Crew explores Graham Oaks Nature Park in Wilsonville, Oregon. The footage was captured by RQCX-3 "Raven," now equipped with a DJI NAZA flight control system, which provides exceptional stability. The video has not be altered -- this is how it appears straight out of the GoPro.
