This is a really easy fight I recorded to remind myself to put Cait Sith in a paradigm at the beginning of the fight. This is to make sure I have the Feral Link ready for the Royal Ripeness fight as I wont use Cait Sith until then, this seems like the most safe/suitable place to get him charged. I start in COM COM MED because if I had used RAV paradigms the chain would run out before I want to get staggering, which is no use so I use COM to at least increase stagger maintenence. I switch out of this paradigm into SEN SEN RAV for the scream so Noel's Provoke keeps the stagger up while also defending from the damage. The rest of this fight is just staggering and killing.

This fight is pretty difficult and somewhat random, this is mostly down to the fact there are so many awkward numbers floating around healing and dealing damage, it just means the stagger may run out at awkward times and sometimes before you can kill. The aim at the beginning of the fight is to bring Ripeness' HP down enough to trigger Snow's cutscene with full~ health, this means I can trigger stagger just afterward with protect on and wail on Ripeness without needing to potion. The best way I can do this is to put deshell and deprotect on at the beginning, bring his stagger up to 180%~ for more damage and then ride the rest of this phase out in COM COM MED. I feel this paradigm is most suitable because it avoids Zwerg increasing the chain to stagger too early, Zwerg doesn't deal much damage anyway, I can still deal a sizable amount of damage and it also keeps me healed for the 2nd phase. This is video 82a in my Final Fantasy XIII-2 playthrough. The party finally defeats the evil Royal Ripeness, but that is just the start of their troubles.
