Bakersfield police are hunting for a man who shot a Subway sandwich shop clerk in the face with a pellet gun. The suspect tried unsuccessfully to then take the cash register drawer during the mid-afternoon robbery May 16 at the 710 Oak St. restaurant. The shooter can be seen in surveillance images released Friday. Police hope the public can help identify him. Anyone with information on the shooter's identify or whereabouts is asked to call Detective Dave Cox at (661) 326-3514.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Rockford Police have released dramatic 911 calls recorded the night a teenager was shot to death outside a local gas station. It's the first of two murders to happen at a gas station this week. Operator: "Rockford 911" Caller 1: "We just heard a whole bunch of gunshots!" Caller 2: "Somebody shot him four times, he shot him in the head!" Caller 3: "I don't know if the person is dead or alive?" Nine people called Rockford police Tuesday night to let them know a guy was shot outside the BP Gas Station on Auburn Street. The victim turned out to be 18-year-old Dwayne Buchanan. And about 48 hours later, and half a mile away, 57-year-old Michael Studer was riddled with bullets. He was also robbed while sitting with a woman in his car outside the Citgo Gas Station on Auburn Street. As police search for the killers, CeaseFire is going around letting people know what happened, to help put a stop to this violence. CeaseFire members spent Thursday night handing out flyers....

Fast Food Bandits On May 18, 2012 Fayetteville Police responded to two separate armed robberies of fast food restaurants in Fayetteville. The first robbery occurred at the Burger King on Cedar Creek Road at 8:30PM and the second occurred at the Hardees on Ramsey Street at 9:30PM. In both incidents, two suspects wearing masks entered the business, brandished firearms, robbed the business of cash, and left the scene in a blue/grey four door sedan driven by a third person. Shreveport Police Robbery investigators need assistance in identifying a suspect who, on 5/19/12, at approximately 9:20 pm, entered the Citgo Station at 6901 W. Bert Kouns and stole an undermined amount of money from the store's cash register. According to witnesses to the crime, the suspect described as ab/m, 5'10 to 6'0 in height, 170 - 180 lbs., medium complexion, wearing a white t-shirt, dark colored shorts, black and white baseball cap and Nike Air Max shoes, entered the store twice within the same day . After entering the store, the suspect purchased a cigar, handed the clerk cash for the purchase, and when the clerk opened the register, the suspect reached over into the register till and grabbed money, fled on foot behind the store and was seen getting into a dark blue 4 door vehicle, possibly a Chevy Impala. Kershaw County Sheriff's Deputies sayJimmy Lee Parson, 44, of Columbia broke into a convenience store around 11:30 pm Wednesday, then lead deputies on a chase that reached speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. At least two Kershaw County Sheriff's Office patrol cars were damaged during the chase, but no injuries were reported.

Questions has arose against the night patrolling of the police in the city as the number of robberies is increasing during the night. On Wednesday during midnight robbers attacked a jewellery shop at New CG Road and looted silver worth 27 kilo. The robber broke in the glass door of the shop and stole only silver leaving the gold jewellery behind. Also the CCTV cameras installed in the shop were not working.
