ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Rockford Police have released dramatic 911 calls recorded the night a teenager was shot to death outside a local gas station. It's the first of two murders to happen at a gas station this week. Operator: "Rockford 911" Caller 1: "We just heard a whole bunch of gunshots!" Caller 2: "Somebody shot him four times, he shot him in the head!" Caller 3: "I don't know if the person is dead or alive?" Nine people called Rockford police Tuesday night to let them know a guy was shot outside the BP Gas Station on Auburn Street. The victim turned out to be 18-year-old Dwayne Buchanan. And about 48 hours later, and half a mile away, 57-year-old Michael Studer was riddled with bullets. He was also robbed while sitting with a woman in his car outside the Citgo Gas Station on Auburn Street. As police search for the killers, CeaseFire is going around letting people know what happened, to help put a stop to this violence. CeaseFire members spent Thursday night handing out flyers....

Maryville College's 2012 Baccalaureate ceremony was held on May 20 in the Clayton Center for the Arts' Ronald and Lynda Nutt Theatre. The Rev. Edward J. Sykes, Methodist Mission Partner and circuit minister in Nassau, Bahamas, was this year's baccalaureate speaker. Sykes is the father of graduating senior Jonathan Sykes '12 and sophomore student Thomas Sykes '14. The title of his address was "Ubuntu -- I Am What I Am Because of Who We All Are." A native of England, Sykes holds degrees from Southampton University and the University of Birmingham. Ministering fulltime in the Methodist Church for the last 30 years, he has served in the British Methodist Conference, the United Church of Zambia, the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas and the Holston Conference in the United States. This is a 2004 S600 with all extras (2.3 tons). It had been chip tuned by DMS. The run took place in Germany on an unlimited stretch of Autobahn. Before the attempt the ECU was reset to get rid of the driving style information. This acceleration is marginally slower than the other one posted by me earlier (more wheel spin) but the road allowed accelerating to about 180 mph. The stock speedometer maxed out at 160 mph but watch the rev meter go higher. You will see that the car shifts into 5th gear at slightly above 170 mph. Traffic ahead prevented a faster run. The wind noise is quite considerable even with the double glazing. No radio playing on purpose.

The Rev. David Sitler was on a missionary trip to an orphanage in Nicaragua when he suffered a serious accident the day after Christmas. He was carrying a huge pot of boiling water, but tripped and the water splashed over a large part of his body. His wife brought him to Loyola, where he was treated at the Burn Center. Rev. Decided to take the 8hp Briggs and Stratton of my 36" walk behind, well first I had to get her running so I took apart the carb cleaned it out cleaned out out the motor and then a few pulls later she was running. So then I removed the engine and mocked it up to a 22 toro push mower then drilled four holes and bolted the engine down, and yes the blade is perfectly in the center. Mower has working throttle as shown in video I will be making an exhaust stack and run a cable so if needed you can rev this bitch even higher. ENJOY
