This allows Tori to position himself in the centre of rotation where the speed of movement is lowest, and leave Uke on the periphery of the rotation, where the speed of movement is highest and thus, through the movement of his body and not the blocked arm, leads Uke into a circular motion which destabilises him. Beam Cannon... well you didn't get to see how much damage it does because it missed. The Ziedrich adds about 20 to MDef%, so it's not very unlikely for that to happen. Magic attacks are more or less doubled in strength on this mod, except the Beam Cannon is Shoot elemental, so the Ziedrich halves its damage. All this entails is a little patience to get through the attempts where Proud Clod gets criticals, or uses W-Machine Gun twice on someone, until it doesn't.
