Representing peace, unity and friendship, the Olympic Flame is the epitome of the Olympic Games. On the 18th of May 2012, the Flame arrived in the UK and commenced a 70-day relay journey across the UK. Along with key sponsors and 8000 inspiring torchbearers who had the honour of carrying the Flame, UPS worked behind the scenes to help move the flame until it reached it's final resting place -- the Olympic Stadium in London. That's the Logistics of the Games.

On 19th May 2012 the Olympic torch began its tour at Land's End, Cornwall before beginning its tour around the island in preparation for the 2012 London Olympics. Before the torch arrived at Land's End, visitor's were welcomed to this special area by a bilingual sign in the Cornish and English languages. However in preparation for the arrival of the torch the Cornish language bilingual sign was painted over and a English language only version was produced. The Cornish language was deliberately removed. In addition Cornish flags were removed from runners along the route in Cornwall by policemen who had been informed that the flags should be viewed as political symbols and removed in a move that can only be described as English cultural aggression. Cornwall and Cornishness was deliberately being removed from the attention of the world to be replaced by England and Englishness - Cornwall's Olympic legacy.
