In an effort to educate the public about this crime, known as "identity theft," the Western Illinois University accounting and finance department will hosted a panel presentation Tuesday, April 24 in Stipes 121. "People whose identities have been stolen can spend hundreds of dollars and dozens of hours cleaning up the mess thieves have made of their good name and credit record," said Wael Aguir, assistant professor of accounting and the panel moderator.
