The sensational artiste, Abolore Adegbola Akande popularly called 9ice and the thespian, Laide Bakare are now having a working relationship. The two entertainment icons are shooting a movie together titled 'Jejere' Tumour. The lyricist and Nigerian singer, 9ice, is gradually considering acting as a second career, as he takes the lead role in new flick produced by Jejere' (Tumour). According to Bakare, "The film, which is produced by Sim Line International, is about an African hero that saved his environment". In the film, which was shot in three weeks, 9ice plays a husband and father. "I played Dele, who had a bad experience in his first marriage [with] the sudden demise of his wife and he was left alone to cater for his little daughter'. The 'Gongo Aso' singer said the challenges were quite different from what he's been through in the music industry, but that he enjoyed the experience." On Thursday, May 3, Nollywood actress, Uche Jumbo and her colleague, Van Vicker were arrested and detained along with their crew members while filming in Surulere, Lagos. They also had to pass the night at Bode Thomas police station, Surulere, where they were arrested and detained. Though Uche and some of her other arrested colleagues may have painted a 'saint' episode on the matter, but further findings and reports have shown otherwise. One of the arrested colleagues of Uche, Uduak Isong, had earlier informed some of her media friends that they were arrested because they always portray Nigerian police bad in their movies. But according to what Ben Njoku of Vanguard newspaper reported over the weekend, Uche Jumbo was arrested and detained by the police because was allegedly unruly with the police. She was reported to assaulted the Divisional Crime Officer (DCO), who had approached her for a letter of consent from the Inspector General of police to shoot a movie scene at the police...

Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke has joined the league of actors who have tried hands in behind the scene business of the film industry. We learnt that Jim Iyke, who had some cuts on his fingers after being mobbed by some fans in Cameroon some weeks ago, is actually in that country to shoot his movie. Jim Iyke, who also pleaded an out-of-court settlement of an alleged $100000 fraud some weeks ago, has his new movie with a working title, \"Blood and Wine,\" with actress Uche Jombo alos starring alongside in the movie. Speaking on the movie, Jim said; \"the shooting will be in Limbe, Buea, and Douala. It\'sa romantic thriller from the stable of my production company called Untamed Production. I came with a crew of six from Naija and the rest of the cast and crew will be Cameroonians.\"

The Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood, is mourning again as star actress, Cassandra Gabriel, is dead. The actress, who was more popular playing one of the major roles in AK Media\'s television drama, Face-2-Face, died on Saturday after a protracted illness suspected to be breast cancer. A spokesperson of AK Media Concepts confirmed the death of Cassandra, whose stage name was Sisi Caro, to NollywoodReel yesterday, but details of her death were still sketchy as at the time of filing this report. The late actress\' colleagues who spoke with NollywoodReel described her death as another devastating blow to the entertainment industry, describing her as one of the role interpreters who made Nollywood what it is today. There are strong indications that Uche Jumbo may seek a redress in court over her arrest by police last week. Those in the know told Nollywoodone.com that she is contemplating on the move. We learnt that her lawyer is presently working on modalities on the matter. Uche Jumbo was arrested by police at Bode Thomas police station in Surulere, Lagos along with Van Viker and other crew members while filming in Surulere on Thursday, May 3. Uche Jombo and Van Vicker In Police Net Again They were detained by the police for about 12 hours before they were released on Friday. They were reportedly released when the police couldn\'t state a tangible reason for their arrest. But some sources told Nollywoodone.com that they were arrested because police said movie makers always portray the Nigerian police negatively to the public. We learnt that Uche should be on her way out of the country by now.

Reports reaching our news room confirms that Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo, Ghanaian actor, Van Vicker, Uduak Isong and some other crew were arrested by the police in Lagos yesterday. We learnt that they were arrested while filming in Surulere, Lagos with some of their crew members. They were detained at Bode Thomas police station, Surulere, Lagos. According the reason told Nollywoodone.com, they are being held because police feel filmmakers feed people with wrong side of the Nigerian police in their movies. Two weeks ago, Van Vicker was arrested in Lagos for arms possession which he claimed was for a movie props. Uche Jombo was reported to have fought for his release by men of the State Security Services (SSS) in Lagos, where he was held overnight. They are still in police detention as at the time of writing this story.
