Senoussi, ex-pilier du régime Kadhafi, inculpé en Mauritanie d'usage de faux NOUAKCHOTT — Le Libyen Abdallah al-Senoussi, ex-pilier du régime de Mouammar Kadhafi arrêté en mars en Mauritanie, a été inculpé de "falsification de document de voyage" et entrée illégale dans le pays, puis incarcéré à Nouakchott, a annoncé à l'AFP lundi une source judiciaire. While the country is affected by a post-traumatic disorder in the post-Geddafi era, here in the city of Benghazi, Libya voting has begun for the local council elections, the first democratic process the city has seen in decades preceding the national congress elections which is expected to be held in June. These elections have breathed new life to Benghazi, a city that has been the centre of controversy and speculation in the past months. It is hoped that, by being able to choose their representatives, the people will begin to feel that the revolution has brought about genuine change. There have been also fears of corruption and election rigging, so the elections assembly, inspired by the successful elections held in Misrata city, has handled this issue by allowing local civic organizations to monitor and supervise the entire voting process to ensure complete transparency. refugee camp for about 3000 predominantly dark-skinned former residents of the town of Tawergha who were forced out of their town Last August when the Misrata brigades openly stated that the terror against the Tawerghan population was a collective punishment for residents.houses here are just tents and huts where the inhabitants suffer shortage of basic living conditions, they do not have enough water or proper shelters, and much worse they are still being harassed, especially by roaming Misrata rebels who pursue them. These kids have committed no sin, but they are suffering just because their parents are from Tawergha city.
