The troops of The Queen's Royal Hussars received a Royal Visit today from their Colonel in Chief The Duke of Edinburgh. As well as presenting the Regiment with their Operational Medals, he also awarded the Elizabeth Cross to the parents of Corporal Jack Stanley who died after being injured on Op Herrick 15. As the Duke of Edinburgh arrived, the troops were ready and waiting for their Regimental photograph. 42 officers and 249 soldiers then marched onto the Parade Square in front of their loved ones.

NSD has three High schools: Woodinville, Bothell and Inglemoor. (I'm a WHS Alumnus) So I was invited to attend, there was dinner at tables, an assortment of people, hearing and Deaf, all mingling. After that, there was an "Advisory Board Meeting" I was invited to sit and share my perspective as a former student, current college student, ASL Club President (That was important to them) I said sure and sat down. There were about 10 people present, sitting at a table. Deaf, hearing, interpreters, the HS teachers (an audiologist- not signed). Two teachers were hearing (WHS and BHS) the last was Deaf. While studying medicine, I practice Ashtanga Yoga 6 days a week, in the mornings, solo, which involves very deep forward folds and backbends, headstands, and very many vinyasas. I practice under the guidance of My Masterful Teacher Kino MacGregor based in Miami, Florida USA; who has been studying at the same Institute I currently simultaneously study; in Mysore, India; under the Director Sharath Rangaswamy; as I study under his Mother and my Guru, Saraswathi. This Practice consists of 6 series; with each series taking an average of 3 -- 4 years to become proficient at. I have no background in dance, or any form of movement, and thus, it takes a lot of determination, discipline, dedication, faith, and many other nice words :-) to get over the insurmountable hurdle of the practice.
