Practice on the World Championship halfpipe in Oslo is in full swing, and after a solid night with friends at the Ryder Hotel, Louie trains his short-run game on a blustery day. The snow condition is ideal, but with the wind comes uncertainty, so Louie keeps it mellow in hopes to give 100% during the contest the next day. Louie and Luke Mitrani also head Oslo's incredible Nordic Jump site to watch the World Championship Quarterpipe competition later that night, and to cheer on Jack Mitrani. In honor of our illustrious history as strong proponents of the sport of snowboarding, we took it back for our 50th Anniversary. During this year's Spring Fever celebration four generations of snowboarders showed up to compete in the 22 foot tall super pipe, and in a hand dug replica of the first pipe to grace Breck's slopes from 1985. From snowboarding legends like Steve Link, Andy Brewer, and Chris Pappas to today's top pros like Jake Black, Danny Davis, Steve Fisher, and Luke Mitrani, everyone had a great time celebrating the past and giving a nod to the future.

When he's ready to ride the pipe, Luke Mitrani grabs his 154 Volcom with a stiffer base. He uses the Burton Cartel bindings, keeping it mellow on the forward lean. He's head-to-toe with Volcom outerwear, taking advantage of the leg vents for cooling off while hiking the pipe. He uses the Burton SLX boot with a super fast lacing system and a Red Hi-Fi helmet.
