Alex il leone, Marty la zebra, Melman la giraffa e Gloria l'ippopotamo, fuggiti dallo zoo di New York City e sbarcati prima in Madagascar e poi nell'Africa centrale, hanno nostalgia della Grande Mela e per questo nuotano fino a Monte Carlo, alla ricerca dell'aeroplano dei pinguini. Sul suolo francese, però, una poliziotta pronta a tutto li elegge a nemico numero uno. Scappare con il treno di un circo è la loro unica speranza: un impresario americano a Londra potrebbe comprare lo show e riportarli tutti a casa. L'esibizione, però, è tutta da inventare. Che quello del circo sia un tremendo cliché lo verbalizza il film stesso, ad un certo punto, ma le invenzioni sono tali e tante che presto lo scrupolo viene messo da parte e ci si gode lo spettacolo nello spettacolo, non solo perché narrativamente non occupa una misura debordante, ma anche perché il 3D è sapientemente sfruttato a questo scopo (una per tutte: l'immagine dell'anello dentro il quale salta Vitalj, la tigre)....

MY DREAMBOAT about the lives of 3 pairs of graduates and undergraduates who are the best of friends. Unfortunately, love entanglements come into the picture and the beautiful friendship takes a nasty turn. Ching Li, the most pitiful character in this movie chooses to marry Yang Fan whom she loves dearly but he does not love her. He loves Lily Ho who in turn loves Chin Han. What amazes me is the extent to which Yang Fan can change when Lily Ho rejects him and goes for his good friend Chin Han and the risk that Ching Li is willing to take knowing that she is marrying Yang Fan who does not love her at all..... Maybe it is a case of to love is better than not to have loved at all. I first watched this movie when I was 12 years old. Today, the story, the songs, the characters are still vividly clear to me. A wonderful story and it has to be from Qiong Yao! Ching Li played the role of Zheng Hsiang Yi superbly. Yang Fan also played the role of Tu Jiawen very well.

2 or more large green mangoes, peeled and sliced into long, skinny and thick bite-sized pieced 1 cup rice vinegar 2 cups water 2½ cups light brown sugar 3 tbsp. Hawaiian salt 2 tbsp. Li Hing powder Red food coloring In a small pot boil 2 cups water, turn off heat, then add the 2½ cups light brown sugar and salt and stir to to dissolve it. Add more water if needed to loosen it up. Remove from heat and add Rice vinegar, Li Hing Powder, and just a few drops of the red food coloring, to the point where it has a dramatic red color to it. For the Li Hing powder, go by taste. In fact, go by your own taste with EVERYTHING. If you want it more sweet, add more sugar. More acidic, add more vinegar. Use that recipe as a basic guideline and go from there. Once the finished Li Hing Pickle Mango "juice" is completely stirred and incorporated, let it cool in the fridge (or quickly in the freezer).
