Strays have been burned alive in mobile crematories to "clean" the streets for EURO 2012. The princess explained, that killing of strays is against the Ukraine animal protection law and that killing is not a solution to reduce population of strays. Only taking responsibilty for these animals and neuter & release programs are an effective, human and legal way to treat poor strays and to control population. Princess Maja asked for more empathy for the dogs and cats. She meet with Rinat Akhmetov to start neutering in Donestk. ETN and Rinat Akhmetov Foundation are cooperting togehter and building a shelter and vet clinic in Donetsk.
