Archie has serious problems with being touched while eating. While it centralized solely on touching the top of his muzzle when he was eating from a bowl, we discovered tonight when he was given a present that he is very upset by being touched anywhere when he is chewing a rawhide. He does not display this behavior at all with nylabones. He does not display this behavior with any toys. He is not possessive of the rawhide itself. Many times he put it in my lap by his own choice while chewing it. He doesn't care if I pick it up or touch it. He cares if -he- gets touched. He is learning to accept touching, to not fear it, that nothing bad is going to happen to him if he is touched while eating something. It is going slower than desensitizing him to his other triggers and fears has gone, but food is a very powerful object and I don't know -why- he is this way. And to think his previous owners had listed him for public stud service two weeks before I bought him and advertised him as...

(best viewed with speakers or headphones that give good bass to hear the exhaust... I'm working on a speaker to catch the exhaust rather than the air). What an epic day it was. 4 Academy cars, racing rules (there are no rules!) and one of the best racing circuits in the country. 3 of the four sessions we spent together, racing, learning lines, braking, seeing how people drove with a car right beside them, seeing how to over take... it was a fantastic day! The 4 of us seemed to be pacing at a 1:56 as a group, with 1:55s happening solo, with the possibility of a 1:54 if you get a really good run with lots of slip streaming. On a whole, if you're fighting for position, lap times were 1-2 seconds slower, than if you were just out alone. Great day guys! Peter, Michael, Steven, it was fantastic driving with you guys, I feel really ready for the Donington race now! aaannnddd part 2.... Again the cars that pass, and then disappear into the distance aren't academy cars, they're roadsport....

After a grueling month of rescues, SMART decided to have some fun... and Train of course.
