Competitors run, cycle and kayak across New Zealand in the Northern Crossing multisport challenge, following the historic route from coast to coast. The annual race is organised by the Rotary Club of Kerikeri as a fundraiser to support youth projects in Northland.

Kayaking through Galway City yesterday evening. Because of the high tide we were able to kayak right up the River Corrib through the city; past the 'Seven Rivers' and the old abandoned mills. At one stage there were approx thirty working mills on the mile long section of Corrib.

Clement FAURE, K1 men, was on the Vezere river at Treignac in France. This classic race are the most beautifull and the most famous in French wildwater canoeing. Clement has been 3th at the sprint wildwater french championship 2011 at La Plagne. Clément Faure, K1 homme sénior du club de Vivonne, était sur la Vézère à Treignac. Clement 3eme au championnat de France sprint 2011. Cette course classique est la mecque de tous les descendeurs de rivière. Ce jour là, le 1 mai 2012, le débit était naturel grâce au sur-versement du barrage des Barrouisses en amont.

I took a vacation day one Friday, late May, 2012, and thoroughly enjoyed each and every minute of it, spending my first day tromping up and down, and all around Brouilletts Creek. Never in my life have I caught so many Bronzeback Smallmouth Bass in one day, the stream was just full of fishing holes after holes after holes! Caught around a dozen Smallies along the way, along w/some Spotted Bass, and a nice sized Perch as well. This beautiful stream offered one breathtaking sight after another, including two Bald Eagles, one healthy Beaver, old railroad tracks, cars and wagons buried in the creek, an old and out of use viaduct that I floated through about halfway through the trip, and many other awesome sights too long to list! I cannot wait to make my way back to Brouilletts Creek, awesome fishing, awesome kayaking, awesome trip!
