1982 - The Hand Is Quicker Than The Eye EP / Label : Olympic Recordings, Enigma Records, Apollon Inc. Descendants of Erdrick: Metroid (The 8-Bit Eric Show) I took time to check out Descendants of Erdrick at the Artslam 8-Bit Arcade event here in San Antonio, TX at the White Rabbit. Here is the band playing the Metroid soundtrack. Check this video out and comment below! Descendants of Erdrick is a rock band dedicated to recreating classic video game music on real, sweaty instruments; from the well-known, time-honored tunes of Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda, to the epic arrangements of Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger, with a few obscure tunes in between. Established in 2009 by musicians who grew up with controllers in their hands, later replaced with musical instruments, the band's mission is to convey through performance the excitement they feel for these quality songs. Visual Novel- Kira☆Kira Songs- I do not know the name of the OST track. The vocal one is called, "A song for..." Favorite Character- Kirari Shiino "We are the invincible second literature club!!!!!!!!!!" ~The beloved second literature club I ABSOLUTLY love this visual novel, it filled me with joy, laughter, and sadness. This VN was nothing like what I expected, it was so amazing... It held such deep meanings, especially on Kirari's path. I did not expect the theme to turn amazingly sad and thought provoking. Thats the thing I loved, the thought provoking delusional mood it gave off at times, especially on Kirari's path. Watching Shikanosuke go though pain, sadness and a delusional state of mind was truly sad and amazing. Oh man did this visual novel make me want to tour Japan while being in a band. I ABSOLUTELY love this visual novel. (BTW, Murukami is ONE OF the best funny/sidekick characters I've seen so far, he's chock full of emotional wisdom too!) (PS. I love you Kirari.)...

Japan's love affair with noise music is many decades old. This national interest in discordance goes at least as far back as 1967, the year that seminal Japanoise avant-gardists Les Rallizes Dénudés formed. In the mid-nineties that interest mainstreamed into the massive, cross-cultural impact of Acid Mothers Temple. Contemporary Japanese rockers take cacophony in stride, and it's from this wizened climate that Tokyo's 2UP emerges. 2UP plays a blend of noise, experimental rock, and thrash that recalls the breathless attack of Osaka's Jellyroll Rockheads. Like the Rockheads, 2UP favors super short song formats: most of their tunes clock in under two minutes, and some are under thirty seconds long. The disconnected call-and-response interplay smacks of Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band, who in turn took their inspiration from free jazz.
