An international human rights group is urging India to allow an impartial investigation of hundreds of unmarked graves in Indian-administered Kashmir after a government report confirmed they contain more than 2000 bullet-riddled bodies, including hundreds of local residents. Amnesty International said the investigation of graves in three regions also needs to be widened to all of the Indian-controlled portion of the disputed Himalayan territory. "All unmarked grave sites must be secured and investigations carried out by impartial forensic experts," the London-based group said in a statement late Monday. The Jammu-Kashmir State Human Rights Commission said in a recent report that 2156 unidentified bodies were found in graves in three northern mountainous regions, while 574 other bodies in the graves were identified as local residents. The Gondola Ride is at Gulmarg, Srinagar the capital of Jammu & Kashmir. The ride has many levels. First you have to buy coats and shoes for rent ( no matter what coats & boots you take these are essential ) then hire and ride a pony from the market ( Rs 200 to 300 ) and reach the Gondola station. Sometimes the Gondola may be off due to engine failure, or maintenance. Go as early as possible. You might have to stand in a queue to buy tickets. The first level costs Rs 300 and the second level costs you Rs. 500. The first level is not much fun with little ice. The second level gives ample scope for play. You might want to go higher and higher. The Gondola ride could take half a day. You might get freaky due to the chill. Four children died overnight at the GB Pant Hospital here, taking the death toll at Kashmir's only paediatric hospital to 363 this year. The infants died at the hospital during the intervening night, official sources said today. Soon after the deaths, the attendants and relatives of patients staged a protest outside the hospital premises and blocked the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway by placing the bodies of the infants on the road.
