I can't for my world remember where I picked this track up, must've been from a collection album on some US cheapie label. Anyway, the original version was recorded by Ray Sharpe (mainly remembered for his "Linda Lu" hit of 1959 on Jamie 1128) on 3 Trey 3011 in 1961 and I did at least two different versions of it way back and personally I like this one the best, since the vocal is pretty good, if I may say so! According to the instruments I'm using, it seems like I must've recorded it in the mid- to late -'70s, cause it's obviously the Country Gent leading the way as far as the lead axe is concerned.
