www.activistpost.com John Galt Activist Post The following video contains disturbing images compiled from the streets of Greece as protests, riots, and police response have converged amid austerity brought about by international banksters. This is a familiar scenario the world over as divide-and-conquer techniques pit police against the very people it is in their best interest to protect ... while the engineers of the collapse sit back and watch from afar. These images have continued to multiply throughout other collapsed economies, past and present, where the First World quickly can become the Third. The conflagration that could take place in America amid a lethally armed population defies the imagination, which is clearly why the police state is oiling its machinery to take on the outraged and weaponized. We would do well to keep the following images from Greece as an up-to-date reminder of what violence produces.

Hydeskov says the German Chancellor will definitely insist on the continuation of the austerity pact in her meeting with the new French president. He adds that Germany has benefited a great deal from the current structure of the Eurozone. David Mulholland and the week's political cartoons, the role of Britain in cracking down on Bahraini protesters by sending British officer to the country, the trial of Guantanamo prisoners after over 11 years under serious question as the confessions under torture are announced invalid, these and much more issues are all reviewed in this edition of Double Standards. www.rt.com Frankfurt police have detained 400 anti-capitalist protesters ahead of a key conference on monetary policy scheduled for the weekend. With thousands more heading into the city in the coming hours, new clashes are expected. Authorities say anti-capitalists were erecting barricades, vandalizing road signs and blocking traffic at various locations across the city. Frankfurt -- Germany's financial capital -- is home to the European Central Bank (ECB). As the eurozone faces a deepening of the economic crisis following fears that Greece can no longer remain part of the currency bloc, policymakers from EU member states have arrived in the city for two days of intense talks. Meanwhile, up to 30000 protesters are expected to make their way into the Frankfurt over the weekend. Their chief demand is an end to austerity -- cuts in government spending, often made by sovereign governments in exchange for offers of loans from the EU -- which activists say is leading to "Europe-wide...

We might be seeing the beginning of the end for Greece and the eurozone. So if the anti-austerity parties win big again as expected - is the eurozone as we know it doomed?

profitabletradingtips.com Euro Zone Austerity Leads to Recession As self-imposed Euro Zone austerity leads to recession the political face of Europe may be about to change. While authorities try to deal with the so called PIIGS debt crisis voters seem likely to express their dissatisfaction with things as they are. The Euro Zone debt crisis is three years old. The problems of the Euro Zone have affected economies across the globe. China, for example, is seeing a decrease in manufacturing as Euro Zone austerity leads to recession and fewer purchases of Chinese products. After the painfully slow Greek bailout, and European Central Bank cash infusion, things, briefly, looked hopeful. However, the Euro Zone bailout package consequences are coming home to roost as the Central Bank bailout money has been used and Euro Zone austerity leads to recession. Stock traders may well see a fair amount of volatility in Euro Zone stocks and stocks in markets throughout the world as political...

They will meet in only a few hours. The new French president Francois Hollande has already warned German Chancellor Angela Merkel that he wants growth to be the way out of the crisis. After being sworn in, Hollande delivered a 10 minute speech in which he vowed to "open a new path for Europe", marking the end of the 'Merkozy" era. Angela Merkel said that she will "welcome the new leader with open arms". However, Hollande's proposals, such as issuing eurobonds to boost European investment or allowing the ECB to lend directly to governments, are totally opposed by the Chancellor. As uncertainty grows in Europe, markets fell again on Monday amid the Greek political turmoil and anti-austerity protests across the continent. As for Brussels, some are wondering why Hollande's first official visit is not to Barroso. According to a Commission's spokesperson, Barroso and Hollande are set to have their first meeting on Thursday during the NATO Summit in Camp David.

The chorus of anti-austerity voices grows louder in Greece as Athens scrambles to form a coalition government. While eurocrats prepare to give Greece the boot, political analyst Alessandro Politi told RT speculators are Europe's real enemy. Greek President Karolos Papoulias has called on the leaders of the country's three biggest parties in a last ditch effort to avoid new elections. With the Left Coalition SYRIZA party insisting that it will not participate in any government "that will implement the bailout," Greece faces bankruptcy within weeks, and a likely ejection from the eurozone. But as Greece is told to suffer more austerity or say goodbye to the euro, Politi told RT there is a third way.
