This is video #023 in my Final Fantasy VII playthrough. After getting past the guards on floor 60F of the Shinra Building, the party heads up to floor 61F. One of the people up there just gives Cloud Keycard 62. These people are not terribly security-conscious, are they? I know places where that could get an employee fired. On floor 62F, the party meets up with Domino, the Mayor of Midgar. Seems Mr. Domino isn't too thrilled with Shinra; he gives Cloud the opportunity to get another keycard if only he can guess the password. The key to the password is the books in the four libraries. Each library has a book that does not belong there. When you find a book that does not belong in the library, use the number and count the letters in the title, excluding spaces, until you reach the appropriate letter. For instance, the book "16 Modern history of Midgar space program vol. 1" does not belong in the Peace Preservation/Weapon Dev. Research Library. The 16th letter in this book title is...

This is video #021 in my Final Fantasy VII playthrough. The party first chooses to bust into Shinra Headquarters. Really brilliant idea, Barret. Of note on the first level of the headquarters lobby, the Turtle's Paradise Newsletter No. 2 is near the back. There is also a shop on floor 2F. However, the treasure chests cannot be gotten until much, much later. To advance, the party rides the rear elevators upstairs. However, before they reach their destination, they are attacked numerous times. If you meet any Moth Slashers, be sure to steal a Carbon Bangle for a defense boost and additional materia slots. Finally, they reach floor 59F. After defeating a trio of Mighty Grunts, they earn Keycard 60. In the next video, the party infiltrates Shinra Headquarters the other way: by sneaking in. This is video #020 in my Final Fantasy VII playthrough. The party travels back to Wall Market to find a way up to Shinra Headquarters. The guy at the Weapon Shop sells a set of Batteries, which are needed to get up there. Then, they return to Don Corneo's mansion. The place's pervert population has been almost eradicated, except for Kotch, who's been tied up in the torture room. He explains what happened to Corneo after our visit--couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Afterwards, the party climbs the "golden shiny wire of hope" to Shinra Headquarters. Those batteries are needed at two points to open the way forward and at one last point to open a chest containing an Ether. Upon reaching the outside of Shinra Headquarters, there are two choices: bust in or sneak in. I will show both paths. First, I will show busting in in the next video. This is video #013 in my Final Fantasy VII playthrough. The party takes the coupon from the Diner to the Pharmacy and chooses the Digestive. Then, they go to the inn and choose to stay. Then, they "Buy the one for 200 Gil." They deliver the goods to the Materia shop owner to receive the Diamond Tiara. Then, the party goes to the bar. First, they check the restroom to find a woman having some problems. In return for the Digestive, she will give Cloud the Sexy Cologne. Then, they talk to the owner of the Boutique. To get the best dress, Aeris chooses something "That feels soft" and "that shimmers." The reward is the Silk Dress. This is absolutely necessary if Corneo is to choose Aeris or Cloud. The next item needed to infiltrate Don Corneo's mansion is a wig. To get that, Cloud must go to the cross-dressers' gym and beat a musclehead at squats. It is not terribly hard to beat him because he messes up from time to time. For winning, Cloud gets the Blonde Wig. This is also absolutely...

This is video #012 in my Final Fantasy VII playthrough. Cloud and Aeris find that Tifa is being "interviewed" at Don Corneo's mansion in Wall Market. Aeris has a pretty interesting idea for getting into the place. This is a pretty interesting sequence, even if it is very messed up. Along the way, they buy a Metal Knuckle for Tifa and four Mythril Armlets. There are tons of combinations, but there are only three choices for Don Corneo: Aeris, Tifa, and Cloud. Only the best accessories will get Corneo to choose Cloud. The first matter of business is the dress. However, the Boutique's owner is plastered in the bar. Next, the Materia shop owner asks Cloud to go to the inn and buy something from the new vending machine. Next, the Diner is offering a Pharmacy coupon for free. To get the coupon, eat a meal in the Diner and say, "It was all right." However, this isn't all we need. Next, the party will visit some cross-dressing freaks in the gym. Thank you for watching! This is video #006 in my Final Fantasy VII playthrough. When Cloud wakes up and goes up the elevator, there is another opportunity for affection points. If you want to date Yuffie, avoid talking to Tifa and go straight to Barret. If you want to date Barret, talk to Tifa and choose "Barret's snoring kept me up..." If you want to date Tifa, talk to her and choose "Next to you, who wouldn't?" For Aeris, it doesn't matter much. Then, Barret asks for a Materia tutorial. Strangely, this seems to have no effect on affection. Afterwards, the new party prepares for the mission to the No. 5 Reactor. An Iron Bangle for everyone is a good idea. So is a Fire materia from the Item Shop. Then, in the Beginner's Hall above the Weapon Shop, pick up a free All materia and an Ether. For the next area, link the All to a Lightning materia in Cloud's Buster Sword or Barret's Assault Gun. Unfortunately, it'll be a while before we pick up a two-slot weapon for Tifa.
