Five years ago I was a little girl totally smitten with her pony, and five years later- not a lot has changed! I remember coming back from a hack on her whilst I was trying her out, she'd launched me over about three ditches and hadn't done a step of walk the whole way round. A Baston Wilson song completed in Cubase combining live recordings, sequencing and samples (including the fabulous flute solo from Zero-G's Total Funk - well worth buying). I did all the production and mixing myself this time, but still had lots of online assistance from the fantastic Mr Neil Emery. I really like this song. It's taken an age to get it to this stage, but I'm really pleased with how it's turned out.

Gene Gifford's White Jazz, performed by Michael Law's Piccadilly Dance Orchestra. The trombonist is Paul Sykes, clarinet is Mark Allaway and the tenor sax is Andy Tweed. We were delighted to be able to perform this number in the presence of Joyce Stone (age 99), at The Cafe de Paris, as part of a tribute to her late husband, British Dance Band leader Lew Stone, whose fantastic band recorded White Jazz in 1933. This is my dog, Sam His my life, I have no idea what I would do with out him ... I think I'll just be some depressed person who doesn't have a grate friend to be with every day. But with Sam, I'm never depressed, he'll be by my side as much as I will be by his. He always get's exited before we go for walks, when he sees the lead he goes NUTS!! Like he knows that his going to have a nice long walk. Every time I'm upset or unwell, being with Sam seems to always make me feel better. His SUCH a playful dog for his age (8 years old) as you can see in the video. He has worried me sometimes in the past, but he always came through, and his as playful as ever! :D Those long 8 years have been FANTASTIC!! I know it sounds wired saying all this about a dog ... but his more than a dog, his my friend, my family ... his my dog :)
