May 24, 2012 - Russia's space agency, Roscosmos, has publicly confirmed its plans to generate a permanent habitation on the Moon. In a speak at the Worldwide Space Exploration Conference, Roscosmos head Vladimir Popovkin said that "we're not talking about repeating what mankind attained 40 years ago... "We're talking about establishing long term bases." This isn't the first we have heard about Russia's Moon base. In March, a leaked Roscosmos road map suggested that it could send a manned mission for that purpose sometime after 2025. Popovkin has also previously stated his agency was in talks with likely European and US partners for such a base. Read more: www.disclose.tv

I admit it, I like Metroid II more than the first one on NES. Why? It has a totally different feeling. The eerie music and ambient sound, the solitude, the visual style that has been adapted for the monochrome Game Boy and the fact that you actually fight metroids in various stages of their mutations... I simply like how it is not that action oriented and puts more emphasis on exploration. Sure, the NES game was a big maze too, but it was full of enemies to kill. Here, you get the impression that this is a planet where once an ancient civilization lived. It's a scary experience, but you gotta go deeper into the caverns on SR388. It may sound exaggerated, but it's a difference between those games like the one between the movies Alien and its sequel, Aliens, with the NES version being the more action focussed game like Aliens and the Game Boy version which is more subtle and reminds me of Alien, the first movie. For some reason Metroid II doesn't seem to be as popular as the NES or...

Battling self-esteem issues, Goodwin tackles some deep subject matter in her memoir. Computer simulations of the Space Station Freedom and Permanent Lunar Base are shown, and an animated sequence describes a Mars mission where heavy lift vehicle will bring components of a Mars Spacecraft into orbit, where it will be put together by astronauts using a robotic arm. The Mars spacecraft is shown orbiting Mars and discharging a lander to the surface, carrying human explorers. The video also details the SEI's Outreach Program, designed to garner interest in and ideas for Space Exploration.
