Wreck Art Collective - Documentary (HD) Produced & Directed by Benjamin Barry Wreck Art Collective was created by Leanne Mc Cullagh and Holly Cullen after graduating from university. Set up for young and emerging artists to showcase their work with live music from Charlie Mooney & Jazzman Hennessey, Wyvern Lingo, Pattanga, Ste Kelly (Raglans) and Gypsy Rebel Rabble. Leanne studied Fine Art in Limerick Institute of Technology, Holly studied Photography in Dublin Institute of Technology. There were three shows in total, two held in Oli's Coffee House in Bray and one in The Little Green Street Gallery in Dublin between 2011 and 2012. The girls have both moved to London in 2012 to pursue their careers, Leanne in Fine Art and Holly in Fashion Photography. At CAFKA, smartphones were the test site for MATR 1291, a new sense organ for hearing time. In collaboration with the Communitech Apps Factory, spurse gleaned data from cell phone manufacturing and disposal techniques, physical environmental processes, changing economic conditions, and the movements of the MATR participating public through the city, to co-compose new experiences of our deep time (across millennia) entanglement with the world. The pulse, amplitude, and timbre of this interactive sound experiment is completely controlled by the collected data variables. During CAFKA, spurse held information sessions at City Hall where the public was introduced to the use of MATR. Participants conducted their own research, collected data and brought their experiences back to the research center.
