FEAR FACTORY's eighth studio album 'The Industrialist' is due in North America on June 5 via Candlelight Records. Once again the industrial Metallers have come up with a conceptual record based around a story written by vocalist Burton C. Bell. Lyrics to the album's ten songs divulge the narrative as discussed recently by Bell on the interview below. The album's artwork was created by American designer Anthony Clarkson with additional direction from the band. The album will be available on three formats — standard CD, a limited edition deluxe digi-book (featuring two additional songs), and 180-gram double vinyl. Metrics coming back with another. Metric is releasing their new album called Synthetica. Here's one of their new songs they decided to share with us. LASTFM SAYS--Metric is an indie rock band formed in 1998 at Toronto, Canada and based at various times in Montreal, London, New York City and Los Angeles. The band members are Emily Haines (vocals, synthesizers), James Shaw (guitars), Josh Winstead (bass) and Joules Scott-Key (drums). Initially Metric was a duo made up by Haines and Shaw, then in 2001 Winstead and Scott-Key joined the band. They took the name "Metric" in 1999 after a synthesizer beat that Shaw used on his sampler and as a reference to their musical precision. The group's music encompasses elements of indie rock, new wave and dance music. Besides Metric, Emily Haines and James Shaw also perform with Broken Social Scene. "Exogenesis : Symphony" is a song by English alternative rock band Muse, featured on their 2009 album The Resistance. Written by lead vocalist, guitarist and pianist Matthew BELLAMY (born 9 June 1978) over the course of a number of years, the song is presented as a symphony in three movements entitled "Overture", "Cross-Pollination" and "Redemption" respectively. The entire music in this video was produced by me. I performed live the piano on 14-05-2012 and strings on 16-05-2012 on Roland FP-7F digital piano. I programmed the bass and drum on Yamaha SY77 synthesizer. Sound recording and mixing was made using Roland Quad-Capture. Video editing was made using Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD. "Snow (Hey Oh)" (stylized "Snow ((Hey Oh))") is a song from the Red Hot Chili Peppers Grammy--winner 2006 double album, Stadium Arcadium. The song was released as the follow-up single to "Tell Me Baby" on November 20, 2006 and became the band's third straight number one hit on the Billboard Modern Rock chart, a spot it held for five straight weeks. The single was their 11th to top the charts giving the band the all-time record for any artist on that chart, a record they still hold to date and even passed in 2011. MCS is one of my favorite bands and Tony Thaxton (one of my favorite drummers) writes/plays really awesome drum beats for all his songs.
