Aver - Aver (2011) 'Aver' from Sydney, Australia. This band plays a rather distinctive style of anything space/ grunge/ stoner rock. And it's great to see a band that doesn't stick to one particular style or genre. These guys take different influences & craft them into one colourful sonic trip. I think this a rather non-consistent album with ups & downs, but a really enjoyable one. From the laid-back 'didgeridoo psychedelica' to the groovy stoner/ grunge rock riffs & lung-exploding screams. In the end Aver's debut album is a good, dynamic offering with some truly great tracks inside. So get to it and check out what these crazy Aussies have to offer!

Pete Huttlinger arranged this hymn and taught how to play it in one of his two books on hymns. This hymn was written by an English clergyman, Henry Lyte, in one hour, on the afternoon that he preached his last sermon, because he was dying from TB in 1847.
