AEK Athens FC competes for the fiftieth consecutive season in the Greek topflight. They started their European campaign in the UEFA Cup Second qualifying round after finishing second in last season's playoffs.OVERVIEW:After the end of an indifferent season, the team initially finished in first place in the league, but after the court case between Apollon Kalamaria and Olympiacos for the illegal use of a player in the 1-0 Apollon Kalamaria win earlier in the season, Olympiacos were awarded the 3 points in a court hearing, thus finishing 2 points ahead of AEK.[1] AEK then finished 2nd in the national playoffs which saw them qualify for the UEFA Cup. The club sold 18200 season tickets. The new season started nervously, since the team was constantly under-performing during friendly games. Britain has reportedly been considering its role if Israel were to attack Iran and America became involved. The BBC reports that the National Security Council has been examining what role, if any, Britain might play in a conflict. It comes as a new round of talks about the country's nuclear programme gets underway in Baghdad. Iran has long been accused of trying to build a nuclear bomb and refusals to allow international inspectors into key facilities have heightened suspicions. Israel says it won't allow a nuclear armed Iran and has threatened a pre-emptive strike. Diplomats from six world powers are trying to convince Iranian negotiators to allow unfettered inspections and even to give up elements of the nuclear programme. Professor Michael Clarke, Director of the Royal United Services Institute spoke to British Forces News about whether it was credible that the National Security Council was considering Britain's legal position in the event of any conflict.

Those in custody range from activists to journalists and have not had any sort of trial or charges brought upon them which is why the people are protesting. 00:16-00:58 I'm Shaimaa El-Tantawy, I was in Abbaseyya sit-in and I'm here today to participate in the hunger strike in solidarity with Abbasseyya detainees. As our colleagues who have been arrested by SCAF and referred to military trails, are now on a hunger strike in prison.
