5.21.2012 -- Alyssa Grayson, a fifth grade student at Rocky Hill School in Warwick, gave a presentation at her former school, Wakefield Hills in West Warwick on wolves and their benefit to wildlife. US Sen. Jack Reed presented her with a commendation for her work to preserve wolves. Atka, an Arctic grey wolf also visited with his caretakers from the Wolf Conservation Center in New York. This will be followed by less onerous conditions for the last one and one half years of the provincial sentence. That will be followed by two years of probation. The reason I read this old newspaper article is that it provides proof that six years ago I owned the Wolf, Aloofus. The lady I had entrusted to take care of him lately, is trying to steal him. She had joint custody by agreement so as to save Aloofus from the pound and possible destruction. The terms were that she take care of him until final sentencing and if I had gotten a long jail sentence then I would never have disturbed his life again for his sake. Sentencing was May 9th and i was allowed time to walk the dog daily. I am only asking for the dog test. If he wants to stay with her I will sign her bill of sale for a loonie. I am serious. It is all about the dog...

The documentation of the effects of the war began immediately. Over 1500 objects were gathered from the battlefields of Tampere in the spring of 1918. They are all now in the collections of the Tampere City Museums and in the Civil War Collection. The collection was in storage for nearly 90 years before it became possible to work with it and begin to discuss the Civil War openly.
