This is RAW video from a Cannon HFM301. It was not run through an editor. This was taken at 60i 1/100th shutter XP+(12Meg) Other Video's will show 30p and 24p for comparison. After all of this, I'd say you really need two camcorders. One CMOS, the other CCD. Depending on what you are shooting will be what you use. Fast action outdoors, lots of movement, use the CCD. Avoid bright lights shined directly into the CCD - verital streaking will occur. Slow movement, low light, interviews, use CMOS. CMOS is immune to vertical streaking, lights can be shined directly into the sensor. It does however suffer greatly from jitter/judder/jello effect especially using lower frame rates as these videos show. As for CMOS 60i at 1/100th of a sec Shutter provided the best results for me. What they call motion blur, I call jitter. There is just too much of it at lower frame rates. Now bear in mind, the images is sampled at 60i, then it is processed, de-interlaced and stored on the memory card at 30p....
