As the main part of my soon to be released exclusive interview with Pastor Carl Gallups (PPSimmons Youtube Channel) was rendering, I thought I'd take my boys fishing and film the end segment. I have inside access to Occupy Detroit and I intend to use it to do what I can to take down, or at east expose, The Powers That Be. But I'm going to need your hep to get there and buy the equipment and bandwidth that will allow me to livestream the protests. I need approximately $1500 to spend the first week inside Occupy. Sometimes a book comes out & a shit ton of people read it & it's on the big table at borders (RIP) for like 2 years next to whatever Malcolm Gladwell just wrote. Sometimes I join the ranks of the shit ton and see what all the fuss is about. In the case of Erik Larson's Devil in The White City, I did not. Which as it turns out was a POOR DECISION AKA DECISION WITH NOT ENOUGH NICKELS. In short, I know I'm like a decade late on this one (the book came out in 2003), but I just finished Devil in The White City and I loved it so much that I haaad to do a book report. This one goes out to Rip Van Winkle. Devil in The White City centers on two contemporaneous narratives: (1) the conception, construction, and legacy of the 1893 world's fair in Chicago & (2) the lethal career of HH Holmes, one of the world's first -- and most prolific -- serial killers.
