The iconic tower of St. Stephen's Church, Lansdown, will be lighting up Bath as the nation celebrates the Queen's Jubillee and the Olympics. Since 21st May, the evening before the Olympic flame arrived in Bath, the tower has pulsated with a dynamic Olympic colour scheme to honour the flame carriers of the West Country. For the Jubilee it will be a stirring Red, White and Blue as we celebrate the Queen's 60 years on the throne and head of the Church of England. The Olympic flame installation will light up the tower throughout the games, and when there is a West Country medal winner it will be gold in celebration of local global achievement and excellence. A1 (Diddler), Q1 1768, L3 1521 and Tower Wagon 89Q arrive at Fulwell 16:30 Friday 11th May to form the main element of 'Trolleybus 50', the Open Day at Fulwell Depot, Saturday 12th May 2012 The three trolleybuses were towed from the East Anglia Transport Museum at Carlton Colville with the Tower Wagon coming on a low loader. A1 (Diddler) was built in 1931 and was London's first trolleybus, entering service from Fulwell in May 1931. It is now part of the London Transport Museum Collection at Acton. Q1 1768 was built in 1948 and operated from Fulwell and Isleworth Depots until 1960 when it was sold to Santander in Spain. It was then purchased by the London Transport Museum and restored back to its original London Transport livery. It is now housed in the Museum's collection at Acton. L3 1521 was built in 1940 and went into service from Fulwell Depot. It was chosen to be London's last trolleybus and...

Barby Asante is an Artist, Curator and Educator based in South London. She studied Fine Art at the University of East London, where she began making work in film, photography and installation, placing herself in the frame as a means of confronting the audience with the perceived problem of her image. Asante is interested in creating works that stimulate dialogue around the cross-cultural and multicultural and how we view and frame these questions in contemporary Britain, often using familiar or popular culture triggers as a means to begin the dialogue. Short student documentary made as graduation film for the London International Film School that takes a look at Afro-Jamaican musical and religious traditions and features the late Justin Hinds. A few words about this film: I am not now, nor was I ever, an ethnomusicologist, so the film does not attempt to be an authoritative or even comprehensive document on the subject; it was more a self-imposed exercise or assignment: go to Jamaica with the intent of making of a film about the deaths of Peter Tosh (and Carlton Barrett and Michael Smith), and when that doesn't work out, film something else! I was an inexperienced film student and Jamaican music lover deeply inspired by Alan Greenberg's "Land of Look Behind." It was my first time in Jamaica and it was a difficult assignment, made under rudimentary conditions. The final product is not without flaws and errors, but I present it mostly due to popular demand.
