In September 2006, Acupuncturist Eli Jacobe (Gloucester, Massachusetts, USA; www.AtlanticAcupuncture.com) took 2 weeks of training in Chinese Qigong Theraputic Excercise at an institute in Beijing, China which is directed by Dr. Wan Sujian, a physician of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a master martial artist and qigong teacher. A classmate compiled these scenes from our first day. Including: her travel from Hawaii, martial arts and qigong (also spelled "chi kung") demonstrations, calligraphy, tea ceremony, massage treatment, a welcoming banquet, and a Taoist Ritual. It was a day of cultural immersion to start our training. The program also included travel to sacred sites in Shanxi Province. You can find photo links on my website, www.AtlanticAcupuncture.com. I teach qigong classes here in Gloucester, MA on Monday nights and Thursday mornings. After my third term of study with Dr. Wan in 2009, he granted me permission to teach his style of qigong. Many thanks to classmate Gabriela...

Look for part 2 and 3 as they were shot in much better light so the quality will be better! "The Sifu is the son of a very famous teacher who started the school many years ago. I was able to spend time at his school and learn about so many different approaches to Wushu and the more traditional Kung Fu (gong fu) methods of training from the Wudang lineage. You will see both some old (traditional) and new (wushu) demonstrated in the small amount of video I took while there. The Sifu here has students from all over the world that come to train. After studying with Zhu Laoshi privately in his home I realized that (and as one can plainly see) all the traditional and familiar gestures of Peng, Lui, Ji, An, and Tzai are really just gestures. Here it can be observed that he is not really using these gestures, without this gestures are just empty movements.

Xinyi Hunyaun Taijiquan Conference - Beijing 2011 Hun Yuan tai chi chuan (Chinese: 陳式心意混元太極陈式心意混元太极) is much like traditional Chen style Xin Jia with an influence from Shanxi Hsing Yi. It was created by Feng Zhiqiang 馮志強(one of Chen Fake's senior students). Master Feng is widely considered the foremost living martial artist of the Chen tradition. "Hun Yuan" refers to the strong emphasis on circular, "orbital" or spiraling internal principles which are at the heart of this evolved Chen tradition. While such principles already exist in mainstream Chen style the Hun Yuan tradition develops the theme further. Its teaching system pays attention to spiraling techniques in both body and limbs and how they may be harmoniously coordinated together. Specifically, the style synthesizes both Chen tai chi and Xin Yi (both Qigong and, to a lesser degree, martial movements). Outwardly it appears similar to traditional Old Frame Chen forms and teaches...
