Josh and Kirsten have been a fantastic couple to work with and we were thrilled to document their wedding in Boone which so happens to be my favorite place. Turns out we had lots of mutual friends and close acquaintances and it was a pleasure to spend the day surrounded by people that loved Josh and Kirsten. Their wedding was at Laurel Forks Baptist Church in Boone, NC and the reception at The Inn at Crestwood Resort and Spa in Blowing Rock NC. A Big thanks to Josh Stilwell for the assist and lead editor as well as Neil Cowley. Some of the footage from their pre-wedding shoot was by Doug Kaufman of Boone NC. And — it's been uncovered — it's not the first of his gay-bashing rants from the pulpit. Video of the sermon, which was posted to YouTube by an activist group, shows the preacher railing against President Obama's support for same-sex marriage, announced earlier this month. Charles Worley goes on to his plan for "getting rid of all the lesbians and queers": internment camps with electrified fences. "And you know what, in a few years they'll die off. You know why? They can't reproduce." That was in mid-May — on Mother's Day — days after President Obama personally endorsed gay marriage. But CNN has video of another, decades-old rant. El Morro Fortress, which is also known as Castillo de San Felipe del Morro is a 16th century fortress situated at the entrance of San Juan harbor in Puerto Rico. It was originally named in honor of King Philip II of Spain and was built to defend the City of San Juan from sea invaders. Puerto Rico was originally discovered by Christopher Columbus who claimed it for Spain. He called the island San Juan to honor St. John the Baptist but later this name was given to the city itself. Puerto Rico means "rich port" and because of San Juan's strategic location and natural harbor, different countries and even pirates wanted to claim it for their own. In the 16th century it became necessary to build a fortress to defend the Spanish territory from these invaders which included the likes of Sir Francis Drake and the Earl of Cumberland, both representing England. The Dutch did manage to successfully penetrate the fortress from the land side which required that walls be added to the city in 1634....
