This new version has lower background music, making the characters more audible. This cartoon was created as part of a Human Resources Management course at DePaul University. We chose four individuals with work-life issues that are among the most pressing issues facing organizations today, yet there is very little research covering these topics. If this video is being used in a teaching environment, it should be stopped at 06:44 for discussion. We used this break to ask the audience questions about what they think is going on in the characters lives. The questions were intentionally misleading to make the audience think traditional work-family issues. Then, the last half of the video is where we challenge the audience to think outside of the traditional view of work-life issues, as the characters real stories emerge. Enjoy!
