Wanted to provide folks with some closeup/information about the 2012 Karakoram 1.0 29'er that is very difficult to find information about as well as even find in stock anymore. Seems by the 1st quarter of 2012 just about all of them have been sold and GT isnt shipping anymore in the 2012 model year but keep looking, took me quite a while and driving thru multiple states to find it. Its been a great bike, really great component selection for the price point. Now we are not professional riders, can spend more money & get better but that pretty much goes for anything you buy. I feel that within this price range this really was the best selection of features/components. We also have not been on a mountain bike since the early 90s and its been over 18years since even owning a bike left alone this is my first 29"er.
