Eugène Ney Terre'Blanche (31 January 1941[n 1] -- 3 April 2010) was a former member of South Africa's Herstigte Nasionale Party who founded the Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging (AWB) during the apartheid era. During the 1980s and early 1990s, he became known for threatening civil war to maintain white rule in South Africa.[1] After the country's transition to post-apartheid democracy, he revised his stances and urged his followers to push for independence in an independent Afrikaner homeland, which he frequently referred to as a "Boerevolkstaat". Aftermath of a protest on 22/05/2012 against Avigdor Lieberman, the Israeli Foreign Minister and a racist supporter of ethnic cleansing, who was being hosted by an organization which calls itself the "Jewish National Fund" which exists to obtain Palestinian land which it bans non-Jews from leasing [en.wikipedia.org ] naturally we went to oppose this. Hundreds of counter protesters were sadly defending ethnic cleansing, chanting "IDF! IDF!" "Go back where you came from" [that's the point of protesting against ethnic cleansing...] and "Pakistan is an apartheid state" [wrong protest, mate]. At the end of the protest, Police wanted us to go back to the Underground station in one group so the counter-protesters couldn't attack us.

Recorded April 26, 2012 Robben Island is an island in Table Bay off the coast of Cape Town, South Africa. It is of particular note that it was here that Nobel Laureate and former President of South Africa Nelson Mandela and former South African President Kgalema Motlanthe, alongside many other political prisoners, spent 27 years imprisoned during the apartheid era. Among those political prisoners was current South African President Jacob Zuma who was imprisoned there for ten years. In the video I tour the island and prison. Two men vandalized a portrait of South African President Jacob Zuma with his genitals exposed on Tuesday (May 22), intensifying a heated debate about the picture that has enraged the ruling African National Congress. Television footage showed a white middle-aged man in a suit walking up to the portrait at a Johannesburg gallery and painting a red cross on the president's face and private parts. A younger black man then smeared black paint over the picture while the first man was being taken into custody by security guards.
