Who knows what a Battle of the Bandstand is. What remains is that fifteen bands 'competed' in an epic show at the Grizzly Rock in Turlock. The air was not one of competition, but of camaraderie as various bands instructed everyone to vote for anyone but themselves, or not vote at all as the bassist for not an Airplane urged. The night was full of music-lovers, both as fans and performers. Unfortunately, I didn't get video of The Great West End; I had been drinking Grizzly Rock's Racer 5, and the schedule was hectic; nor did I get video of performer Benny Romero. Both have other videos online; check them out. The Great West End was one of the three winners of the show; my apologies to them for missing the footage.' Apologies also go out to the viewers of the video; it's shaky, taken from weird angles, and the audio's off. What can I say?
