Argentwine is a wine importer and distributor of Argentine wines in Europe. One of the wineries we import and distribute is Bodega y Cavas de Weinert. Founded by the Otero family in 1890, abandoned in 1920, and later acquired and restored by Bernardo C. Weinert, this bodega's world-class wines embody a signature blend of traditional and modern production methods. Don Raul de la Mota was the winemaker from the beginning, all the way through 1997, after which he turned the reins over to Swiss-born, Bordeaux-trained winemaker Hubert Weber, who is still producing these fantastic wines today. Cavas de Weinert is one of the only Argentine wineries to use costly French oak casks for aging, giving the wines complexity, stability and grand aging potential for which Weinert is known troughout the world. www.argentwine.be
