This week Julian Assange interviews President Rafael Correa of Ecuador. Correa is a left wing populist who has changed the face of Ecuador. But unlike his predecessors he holds a Ph.D. in economics. He's been called one of the most democratic leaders in Latin America's history - and is a champion of the poor. According to US embassy cables, Correa is the most popular President in Ecuador's democratic history. Correa discusses with Assange whether it's always the case of good media vs corrupt government, and examines his country's relationship with the United States. Discussion opens with the circumstances surrounding the attempted coup de tat in Ecuador in 2010, during which the president was taken hostage. From there this weeks interview moves on to the key relationships between media, money and the interests of the United States that are at play in Ecuador. Following the coup attempt, Correa embarked on a furious and controversial counter offensive on Ecuador's media. He...

www.youtube.com 05/22/2012 In the next three years, seeing unmanned drones flying in America might become more common than you think. Earlier this year, Congress passed a bill that approved the Federal Aviation Administration's proposal to allow drones in the air by the year 2015. Last week the FAA announced a new set of rules that would make it easier and faster for government entities to obtain a certificate of authorization for the drones. Police departments across the US are proposing to have armed drones patrolling the streets. Jefferson Morley, staff writer for Salon, joins us with his take. The Danish Simulator is a Speech Recognition based online language and culture learning platform for Danish which contains interactive lessons focused on teaching cultural and communicative skills, and a game-based virtual world focused on applying those skills. It is, in other words, a computer game where you interact with the in-game characters by talking to them, while chasing around the city of Vejle to discover the location of the Jelling Mounds, the Danish birth place. The aim of the platform is to teach Danish language, particularly pronunciation, dialog, conversation and culture, to the approximately 45.000 immigrants taking Danish lessons every year, an endeavor costing the Danish government approximately 150 million euro annually. The platform has been tested on approximately 250 students at three language centers around Denmark for the past six months, October 2011 through March 2012, to test the feasibility of a more wide-spread roll-out in order to fulfill the funding...

The style for this video is a bit different than what I have done in the past. It details events that transpired in the early morning hours of May 15th, 2012, when I went outside to smoke a cigarette, decided to move to the front of the house, noticed a car parked across the street leaving abruptly and then started capturing some of the unfriendly activity occurring in my neighborhood. It's clear to me that the corruption advanced by neighborhood watch groups and their use in community policing has created a very dangerous situation, whereby government targets no longer have the luxury of looking at activities that are taking place around them with normal eyes. Instead, we must be skeptical of the slightest activity and see how it fits into the over picture that is developing on the ground, and trust our instincts.

NSA under fire: Supreme Court to review Legality of Warrantless Wiretapping/Spying of US Citizens SUBSCRIBE for the latest videos: www.Youtube.com Phone calls to Prague? Emails to Ecuador? The United States government can currently sift through any international communication that crosses outside of American territory, but all that might soon change. The US Supreme Court decided on Monday this week that they will consider a case that challenges the powers for the federal government established in the FISA Amendments Act of 2008, a legislation that allows authorities a wide breadth when getting away with snooping into private conversation in the name of national security. Although US President Barack Obama campaigned on changing FISA back in 2008, the law on the books right now is carrying over the authoritarian powers installed under the administration of his predecessor, President George W. Bush. As it stands right now, the National Security Agency is allowed unfettered access to...

About the Roof It all started in Atlanta back in 1996. We were originally located in Buckhead where the locals kept the place packed and musicians kept the place rocking. With great live music being such a driving force for our success, it made perfect sense to move the concept to Music City, USA. In February of 2002, we opened the Tin Roof on Demonbreun Street at the base of Nashville's famed music row. The Roof (as it's known to our Regulars) has been a hit ever since. Our customers love our laid-back feel and live entertainment—not to mention our made from scratch food served up by a friendly and eclectic staff. In 2006, due to the demand of many of our original Regulars that had moved to the Cool Springs area outside of Nashville, Tin Roof 2 was opened. TR2 has since been joined by many other Nashville businesses in the now flourishing area around Carothers Parkway. Tin Roof Lexington was opened in the spring of 2009 after back to back visits to the Music City Bowl brought...

Like reality TV, American politics is shameless, unscrupulous, and is hedged in the ignorance of millions. From outside of the country it's alternately fascinating, sad and infuriating to watch. Ab-Soul's definitely the latter, and with "Terrorist Threats" he's throwing the gauntlet down through the floor to an opponent that he knows won't care to listen. Soulo and Danny Brown walk the streets full of disturbing images plastered on the walls and in floating wooden frames, the kind that demands you burn a dollar bill in defiance. Blessedly free of illuminati references, Soul grounds his rhymes in reality with fierce politically charged salvos that aren't anti-government so much as anti-oppression. Props to Brown as well, who doesn't get near enough credit for his conscious rapping. But that's because he is very, very good with the drug and sex stuff. Ab-Soul is from Carson, California. He is signed to Jay Rock's Top Dawg Entertainment label and with him, Kendrick Lamar & ScHoolBoy Q...

Auslan at Kangan Institute - Vicdeaf's Statement
Following discussions with the Graeme Kelly, Vicdeaf CEO, I wish to take this opportunity to express Vicdeaf's disappointment in Kangan Institute's decision to close their Auslan courses and reiterate our support for the continuation of a full-time Diploma of Auslan course in Victoria beyond 2012. Hundreds of graduates have studied Auslan at Kangan Institute over the last 20 years, many of who have gone on to become accredited professional Auslan interpreters. Given that there are insufficient Auslan interpreters available in Victoria, the decision to close Auslan courses at Kangan Institute can have far-reaching ramifications for a community and industry that is already struggling to meet the demands of Auslan interpreting for deaf people and people who want to communicate with them. Furthermore, Kangan Institute is the only provider of a full-time Diploma of Auslan in Victoria and the eastern coast of Australia. In order to provide options for those who are unable to study...
